Cuba visa for Venezuelan citizens
For Venezuelans living at home or abroad, passport nationality and residence are different pieces of information. The Cuban eVisa application uses the travel passport’s nationality. A residence card in another country does not replace that passport, and questions about an expired document or extension must be settled before requesting a passport-linked visa.
Can Venezuelan citizens apply for a Cuba eVisa?
Yes. Venezuelan ordinary passport holders are eligible for the Cuba tourist eVisa. Use the intended travel passport and confirm any validity or extension issue with the carrier and Cuban authorities first.
Check another passport nationalityVenezuelan nationality while living overseas
Select Venezuela when travelling on a Venezuelan passport, even if you hold residence in Colombia, Spain or another country. Select a different nationality only when the journey uses a passport of that nationality and its corresponding visa route.
A residence card can be important for returning to the country where you live. Check its validity and any re-entry requirements separately, so arranging Cuba entry does not leave the return journey unresolved.
Passport validity, replacements and extensions
If the passport is expired, has an extension or will be replaced soon, ask whether that exact document is accepted for the itinerary. Do not infer Cuban acceptance from another country’s treatment of the document.
Once the travel document is confirmed, copy its number and complete names carefully. An identity-card number is not the requested passport number. If replacement produces a new passport, seek advice about the existing visa information before travelling.
Monitor application messages while away from home
Use an email account you can open in your current country and during travel. Check the repeat address and retain your confirmation so a change of phone or mobile network does not prevent access to the application information.
Prepare the arrival declaration after receiving the visa code and keep its QR with the return route and insurance information. The service price is US$59 per traveller; residence abroad does not create a different quoted service price on this page.
Do not guess whether an extended Venezuelan passport is accepted
For a passport with an extension or an expired printed date, obtain confirmation for the exact document and itinerary before submitting the ordinary application. Acceptance can be a different question for the airline, a transit country and Cuba. A rule applied by a country of residence does not by itself establish what the other parties accept.
Keep the passport's issue and expiry details available when asking the relevant authority or carrier. The nationality checker only classifies the online visa route; it does not inspect an extension, assess a document's authenticity or guarantee boarding. If the answer is unclear, resolve the document question before paying for an application that may use the wrong travel reference.
A Venezuelan citizen returning to a country of residence
A Venezuelan passport holder living outside Venezuela should select Venezuela when that is the passport used for the Cuban application. Prepare the residence country's return documents separately, and check the connection itinerary against the same passport. The Cuban visa record is not evidence of permission to return to a residence country.
For a traveller who has renewed the passport through a consulate abroad, compare the replacement number with the ticket reservation and any existing Cuban request. Contact the supplier handling that request if it uses the earlier document. Keeping the application reference and a reachable email is more useful than purchasing another service before the first record has been located.
What to prepare for the online application
Use the Venezuelan passport intended for this journey. The current form asks for the following details:
- Passport nationality and passport number.
- Surnames and given names as printed in the passport.
- Date of birth and sex.
- Email address, entered twice to confirm it.
- Phone number, if you choose to provide one.
No passport scan or portrait upload is requested in the current service form. Insurance, return or onward travel and the arrival declaration are separate travel preparations; they are not upload fields in this application.
Cuba eVisa cost and application steps
Our online application service costs US$59 per traveller. This is our independent service price, not a quoted government consular fee. Read the service terms and refund policy before paying. You can also consult the official government application directly.
- Enter your passport details. The application opens with Venezuela selected. Review names, passport number, birth date and email.
- Review the application and service price. Confirm the information and displayed total before continuing to the payment stage.
- Monitor the application. Keep your reference and use the application status page for an existing request. Allow time before departure; no approval deadline is guaranteed.
- Prepare the separate arrival declaration. After receiving the issued visa code, follow the official D’Viajeros portal instructions and save the arrival QR.
The tourist route is generally for one entry and an initial stay of up to 90 days, subject to the issued visa and current Cuban rules. Work, study and special passport circumstances need their own advice. Cuban authorities decide approval and admission.

Can a Venezuelan living in Spain choose Spain as nationality?
Choose the nationality of the passport used for the Cuba trip. Spanish residence alone does not make a Venezuelan passport Spanish.
Does online eVisa eligibility prove an expired passport is accepted?
No. Nationality eligibility does not decide acceptance of a particular expired or extended travel document. Confirm that document with the authorities and carrier first.
What should I do if I replace my Venezuelan passport after applying?
Contact support and the relevant Cuban authority before travel. A new passport number may require changes or a new visa request; do not assume the old visa record remains suitable.
How much does this Cuba eVisa service cost?
Our online application service costs US$59 per traveller. This is the price of our independent service, not a quoted government consular fee. Check the total and service terms before paying.
What information does the online application ask for?
The form asks for passport nationality, passport number, surnames, given names, date of birth, sex, email and repeat email. Phone is optional. The current form does not ask for a passport scan or portrait upload.
Is D’Viajeros the same as a Cuba eVisa?
No. The eVisa is the visa application; D’Viajeros is Cuba’s separate arrival declaration. After receiving the visa code, use the official D’Viajeros portal to complete the arrival formalities in its permitted time window and save the resulting QR code.
Is approval or a processing deadline guaranteed?
No. Apply before your journey and allow time for review or corrections. Payment does not guarantee approval or admission. The Cuban authorities decide the visa outcome and entry permission.
