Cuba visa for Colombian citizens
A Colombian passport has an online Cuba tourist visa route. The most useful preparation is to make the applicant’s details consistent: the passport, application, booking and arrival declaration should identify the same person. This guide focuses on complete surnames, family applications and journeys that include a stop outside Colombia.
Can Colombian citizens apply for a Cuba eVisa?
Yes. Colombian ordinary passport holders are listed as eligible for the Cuba tourist eVisa. Select Colombia and enter the passport number used for the journey rather than a cédula number.
Check another passport nationalityColombian surnames and the passport-number field
Keep the passport identity page beside you when entering apellidos and given names. Include the surnames printed there in their original order, and preserve every given name rather than using an informal shortened name.
The travel-document field is for the passport number. A cédula is a separate identity document, and its number should not be substituted because it is easier to remember. Check any letters as well as digits against the passport.
Planning a family application from Colombia
For a parent completing forms, start with one passport and finish reviewing that traveller before moving to the next. Use a contact address you can access during the trip and repeat it accurately; an email typo can hide an otherwise useful confirmation.
The Cuba eVisa form is separate from permission for a minor to leave the country or travel with one parent. Verify the departure and airline requirements for the child’s circumstances rather than treating visa approval as parental consent.
Check connections and keep your arrival information ready
If the flight reaches Cuba through another country, establish whether you need a transit or entry document there. A stopover can involve different checks depending on the airport and whether you leave the international transit area.
Prepare accommodation details and the return or onward itinerary for travel, even though our present application form does not ask you to upload them. After receiving the visa code, complete the official Cuban arrival declaration in its allowed window and keep the result available offline.
A Colombian family application: check the child separately
When one adult completes the forms for a family, prepare a separate passport reference for each person. A child's date of birth, passport number and full names must come from the child's document, even if the parent supplies the receiving email. Keep a distinct application reference for each traveller so a correction to one record is not confused with another.
Questions about a minor leaving Colombia, travelling with one parent or carrying a consent document belong to the departure and airline requirements. Resolve them with the appropriate authority or carrier. The Cuban passport-detail form does not collect an exit consent upload, and completing it does not establish that those separate requirements have been met.
Applying from outside Colombia with a Colombian passport
A Colombian citizen living in Spain, Mexico or another country should still select Colombia when using a Colombian passport. The place of residence may affect the journey and the return documents, but it does not change the nationality attached to that passport. Check the right to return to the residence country independently from the Cuban visa.
Before sending the application, decide which document will be used consistently for this journey. If you also hold another nationality, do not select it merely because it appears first on a residence record. Our eligibility checker can compare the other passport's route; use the guide and form selection that match the passport entered in the application.
What to prepare for the online application
Use the Colombian passport intended for this journey. The current form asks for the following details:
- Passport nationality and passport number.
- Surnames and given names as printed in the passport.
- Date of birth and sex.
- Email address, entered twice to confirm it.
- Phone number, if you choose to provide one.
No passport scan or portrait upload is requested in the current service form. Insurance, return or onward travel and the arrival declaration are separate travel preparations; they are not upload fields in this application.
Cuba eVisa cost and application steps
Our online application service costs US$59 per traveller. This is our independent service price, not a quoted government consular fee. Read the service terms and refund policy before paying. You can also consult the official government application directly.
- Enter your passport details. The application opens with Colombia selected. Review names, passport number, birth date and email.
- Review the application and service price. Confirm the information and displayed total before continuing to the payment stage.
- Monitor the application. Keep your reference and use the application status page for an existing request. Allow time before departure; no approval deadline is guaranteed.
- Prepare the separate arrival declaration. After receiving the issued visa code, follow the official D’Viajeros portal instructions and save the arrival QR.
The tourist route is generally for one entry and an initial stay of up to 90 days, subject to the issued visa and current Cuban rules. Work, study and special passport circumstances need their own advice. Cuban authorities decide approval and admission.

Does a Colombian cédula replace the passport number for the eVisa?
No. The form requests the travel passport number. Use the passport that you intend to present on your Cuba journey.
Can I apply for my children from the same email address?
You can use a reachable family contact email, but each application must contain the individual traveller’s passport and personal details. Review each record separately.
Do I need to upload a flight reservation from Colombia?
The current service form has no flight-reservation upload field. Keep your itinerary for airline and border checks; those travel requirements are separate from the fields used to start the application.
