Cuba visa for Belgian citizens
For Belgian citizens, the Cuban visa, insurance and traveller declaration should be organized as separate documents. Belgium’s official practical advice identifies the electronic visa route and recommends keeping paper versions of travel records. Use the passport details for the application, then prepare the arrival document at the appropriate time for departure.
Can Belgian citizens apply for a Cuba eVisa?
Yes. Belgian ordinary passport holders can apply for the Cuba tourist eVisa. Belgian official advice also requires travel insurance and the separate online traveller form before departure.
Check another passport nationalityBelgian eVisa, insurance and arrival declaration
Belgium’s Foreign Affairs guidance links the electronic tourist visa application and states that travel insurance is required before departure. Confirm that your policy covers Cuba and keep the evidence accessible.
The same guidance identifies the mandatory traveller form as another step. Follow the official portal’s current time window and retain the generated arrival document; insurance and the visa do not replace this declaration.
Dutch or French passport labels, one consistent name
Whether your passport labels are Dutch or French, separate the family name from the given names as the document does. Enter the complete given names rather than initials used in a booking display.
Copy the passport number, not a Belgian identity-card or national-register number. The present service form does not ask you to upload your identity card, a portrait or a passport scan.
Use a Belgian booking checklist for the whole route
Ask an agency or carrier whether the visa is part of the booking and obtain the issued information before deciding to pay for another service. When it is not included, our online form opens with Belgium selected.
For an onward or connecting journey, check the destination of each flight rather than treating the Cuba visa as universal permission. Keep the return itinerary and official consular advice available with the visa email, especially if the travel arrangements change.
A Belgian traveller's three-document arrival folder
Prepare separate records for the visa information, the official arrival declaration and insurance evidence. The Belgian practical travel guidance discusses these distinct preparations; keep their filenames and passenger names clear so a receipt or a policy document is not shown in place of the arrival QR. Save accessible copies before leaving, rather than relying on a new internet connection at the airport.
For two travellers sharing one mailbox, verify that each visa record and each arrival document refers to the correct passport holder. A shared surname or booking number can make files look similar. The service application reference helps locate a request, but the issued travel documents must still be identified individually.
Dutch or French everyday names versus the Belgian passport
The English form should receive the surname and given names from the Belgian passport, regardless of whether the traveller normally uses Dutch, French or another language. A shortened name on an email account, agency invoice or bank card should not decide which passport components are omitted. Read the two name fields separately before moving to the final review.
If the passport was renewed after the original booking, check both the number and the name entries used by the supplier arranging the visa. Contact that supplier about the existing record instead of assuming a ticket amendment also updated the Cuban visa. For a request made through our service, use its reference when asking the team about a changed document.
What to prepare for the online application
Use the Belgian passport intended for this journey. The current form asks for the following details:
- Passport nationality and passport number.
- Surnames and given names as printed in the passport.
- Date of birth and sex.
- Email address, entered twice to confirm it.
- Phone number, if you choose to provide one.
No passport scan or portrait upload is requested in the current service form. Insurance, return or onward travel and the arrival declaration are separate travel preparations; they are not upload fields in this application.
Cuba eVisa cost and application steps
Our online application service costs US$59 per traveller. This is our independent service price, not a quoted government consular fee. Read the service terms and refund policy before paying. You can also consult the official government application directly.
- Enter your passport details. The application opens with Belgium selected. Review names, passport number, birth date and email.
- Review the application and service price. Confirm the information and displayed total before continuing to the payment stage.
- Monitor the application. Keep your reference and use the application status page for an existing request. Allow time before departure; no approval deadline is guaranteed.
- Prepare the separate arrival declaration. After receiving the issued visa code, follow the official D’Viajeros portal instructions and save the arrival QR.
The tourist route is generally for one entry and an initial stay of up to 90 days, subject to the issued visa and current Cuban rules. Work, study and special passport circumstances need their own advice. Cuban authorities decide approval and admission.

Does Belgian official advice require travel insurance for Cuba?
Yes. Belgium’s practical Cuba advice says to arrange travel insurance before departure. Ask your insurer to confirm the relevant Cuba coverage and keep the evidence with your travel documents.
Can I put my Belgian national-register number in the passport field?
No. Enter the travel passport number. The eVisa application does not request a national-register number or an identity-card number.
Should Belgian travellers print the arrival document?
Belgium’s official advice recommends paper versions of travel records. Keeping both printed and saved digital copies is useful when internet access or phone power is unreliable.
