Türkiye passport guide

Cuba visa for Turkish citizens

A Cuba eVisa for a Turkish passport is a Cuban entry document, not Türkiye’s own eVisa for incoming visitors. Start with the correct destination and the exact passport category you hold. This guide focuses on the English nationality selection, Turkish name characters and keeping the application record consistent with an overseas flight booking.

The quick answer

Can Turkish citizens apply for a Cuba eVisa?

Yes. Turkish ordinary passport holders are eligible for Cuba’s online tourist eVisa. Select Türkiye as the nationality of the travel passport; special passport categories need their own rules checked.

Check another passport nationality

Choose Türkiye and the passport you will use

The nationality selector displays Türkiye. Select that entry for an ordinary Turkish passport, regardless of whether you begin the journey in Istanbul, another Turkish city or a country where you currently live.

Diplomatic, service or other special passports may have separate conditions. Do not use an ordinary-passport guide to decide a special-document exemption; consult the Cuban authorities for that document before purchasing a service.

Turkish characters and international name fields

Copy soyadı into the surname field and the given names into their own field. Names containing İ, ı, Ş, Ğ, Ç, Ö or Ü should be handled according to the passport’s official representation and the system’s instructions, not by an improvised English translation.

If a travel booking uses a different character representation, compare it with the passport and ask the carrier about any mismatch. A nickname or shortened given name is not the right reference for the visa application.

Separate the Cuba visa from connection-country permission

For a connecting flight, check whether the transit location requires another document for your Turkish passport. The eVisa application does not check or supply permission to enter that country.

Enter the birth date carefully and use an email available abroad. Once you receive the issued visa information, save it with the official arrival QR and travel records. Our US$59 price is quoted in dollars; a lira conversion is determined by the payment provider or bank.

Check the Turkish passport category before buying the service

Türkiye's Foreign Ministry distinguishes ordinary passports from diplomatic, service and special passports for Cuba. Its current guidance says ordinary passport holders need the electronic tourist visa, while the named special categories have a visa exemption for visits of up to 90 days. Someone carrying a green, grey or diplomatic passport should therefore review the category-specific guidance before using an ordinary-passport application service.

This guide and its online eligibility answer address the ordinary tourist route. A passport category is not just a colour preference in the form: it can change whether the service is appropriate. Where the document or visit does not fit this scope, confirm the route with the Cuban authorities first.

Example: Turkish names are shortened in a flight booking

A reservation might display a shortened or transliterated Turkish name while the passport has the full given names and surname. Use the passport's own name fields to prepare the application, and ask the airline to resolve any genuine booking mismatch. Keep the given-name and surname components in their correct boxes rather than combining them to imitate the ticket display.

For a replacement passport, use the new number only after checking what has happened to any existing application. A Turkish national identity number does not belong in the passport-number field. Review each character with the document in front of you and confirm the receiving email twice before moving to the application review.

Before you start

What to prepare for the online application

Use the Turkish passport intended for this journey. The current form asks for the following details:

  • Passport nationality and passport number.
  • Surnames and given names as printed in the passport.
  • Date of birth and sex.
  • Email address, entered twice to confirm it.
  • Phone number, if you choose to provide one.

No passport scan or portrait upload is requested in the current service form. Insurance, return or onward travel and the arrival declaration are separate travel preparations; they are not upload fields in this application.

Cuba eVisa cost and application steps

Our online application service costs US$59 per traveller. This is our independent service price, not a quoted government consular fee. Read the service terms and refund policy before paying. You can also consult the official government application directly.

  1. Enter your passport details. The application opens with Türkiye selected. Review names, passport number, birth date and email.
  2. Review the application and service price. Confirm the information and displayed total before continuing to the payment stage.
  3. Monitor the application. Keep your reference and use the application status page for an existing request. Allow time before departure; no approval deadline is guaranteed.
  4. Prepare the separate arrival declaration. After receiving the issued visa code, follow the official D’Viajeros portal instructions and save the arrival QR.

The tourist route is generally for one entry and an initial stay of up to 90 days, subject to the issued visa and current Cuban rules. Work, study and special passport circumstances need their own advice. Cuban authorities decide approval and admission.

Turkish passport questions, answered

Should a Turkish passport holder choose Turkey or Türkiye?

The current nationality selector displays Türkiye. Select that nationality for the Turkish passport you intend to use on the journey.

Does this Cuba guide cover Turkish diplomatic or service passports?

The guide is for ordinary passports. Special passport categories can have separate conditions; confirm them with the Cuban authorities before applying.

Should Turkish letters be translated into English in my name?

Do not invent an English version. Follow your passport’s official name representation and request clarification if the application or carrier requires a specific character format.

How much does this Cuba eVisa service cost?

Our online application service costs US$59 per traveller. This is the price of our independent service, not a quoted government consular fee. Check the total and service terms before paying.

What information does the online application ask for?

The form asks for passport nationality, passport number, surnames, given names, date of birth, sex, email and repeat email. Phone is optional. The current form does not ask for a passport scan or portrait upload.

Is D’Viajeros the same as a Cuba eVisa?

No. The eVisa is the visa application; D’Viajeros is Cuba’s separate arrival declaration. After receiving the visa code, use the official D’Viajeros portal to complete the arrival formalities in its permitted time window and save the resulting QR code.

Is approval or a processing deadline guaranteed?

No. Apply before your journey and allow time for review or corrections. Payment does not guarantee approval or admission. The Cuban authorities decide the visa outcome and entry permission.
